I'm excited to announce David Russell is joining The Bridge International offering CEO and executive coaching and mentoring.
Throughout my career I have been lucky to work with authentic and values-based leaders. I’ve known Dave for 20 years and he embodies this in everything he does. He has been an inspirational executive. He is an accomplished CEO and board member, who has always been humble about his many achievements throughout his career. As a leader, he has always balanced the financial and human needs of an organisation.
David retired as CEO of RAA Insurance last year after 12 years at the helm. He was also a board member of the ICA. He is now devoting his time to coaching and mentoring Executives and CEOs to unlock their full potential.
Under his leadership at RAA Insurance, the business grew significantly and became the dominant personal lines insurer in South Australia. RAA’s motor insurance market share grew to 35%, and home insurance to 25%, achieved by impressive year-on-year double digit growth. RAA Insurance was recognised numerous times by consumer groups providing outstanding products, customer satisfaction and being awarded the small to medium General Insurance Company of the year three times.
David has developed deep expertise in governance, risk management and compliance of APRA-regulated organisations. His experience of the 2017-2019 Financial Services Royal Commission as a board member of the Insurance Council of Australia deepened his insights on achieving sustainable business growth while maintaining customer and business integrity.
With increased pressure and expectations on CEO’s and Executives to deliver to shareholders, board, regulators and customers, sometimes the most overlooked aspect is setting up leaders for success.
